Mandarin Star AEC Ltd. was founded in 1987 by Mr. Bo Ekander who has lived and worked in Asia for more than 35 years. He started in Malaysia in 1968 as Assistant to the Swedish Trade Commissioner and thereafter worked as Marketing Director for Volvo Far East in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. During the following 10 years he worked as Managing Director of the Swedish trading company “Ekman & Co AB”’s subsidiaries in Taiwan, Brazil and Philippines.   In 1981 Bo Ekander founded the regional office of Götabanken, a Swedish bank, with responsibility for Hong Kong, Taiwan, China and the Philippines. Within this operation he founded Mandarin Star AEC Ltd, which he subsequently acquired twelve years later. The company’s employees still work under strict confidentiality agreements In 2007 Mandarin Star AEC Ltd was merged with Primasia Corporate Services Ltd and Bo Ekander is since then working as the chairman of Primasia Corporate Services Ltd / Mandarin Star.
